Insurance and Payments

We are currently in-network with Northwell Direct, Aetna, Cigna, 1199, Medicare and Magnacare.

We are also an out-of-network provider (see below) including with NYSHIP and we accept self pay clients.

Your health insurance or employee benefits plan may cover services in full or in part. We will double-check your eligibility and will let you know prior to your first sessions of any financial responsibility such as a copay. 

Should you wish to call your health insurance provider yourself consider asking the following questions:

•   Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

•   What is my deductible and has it been met?

•   What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

•   Is approval required from my primary care physician?

•   Do I have out-of-network benefits?

For co-pay and self-pay payments,  we do accept American Express, Cash, Check, Discover, Health Savings Account, Mastercard, Visa 

No Surprises Act*

We are also an out-of-network provider. As of January 1, 2022, the new legislation gives clients who use an out-of-network provider at an in-network facility new billing protections under the No Surprises Act. JCorea Counseling will always inform a new client, in writing, prior to the first session what, if any, financial responsibilities are.
