I work with my clients to safely navigate through those difficult paths to where they want to be. By lending an empathetic ear, I can gain a better understanding and help you to unlock coping strategies to utilize in the real world. Together we can walk through gaining a better understanding of yourself, your feelings or what you may be battling with. With guidance, you can regain control and slowly re-frame negative thoughts and limiting beliefs resulting in inner clarity and peace.

Weather it is stress, dealing with mental illness, grief, relationship issues or maybe you are simply unsure, together we can make a start on positive pathway. I can assist with those struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, negative thoughts, illness, loss and letting go of old patterns to promote a healthier lifestyle. Some of the therapeutic approaches that I utilize are Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Crisis Intervention. I can work with you to increase self-awareness and acceptance while effectively implementing skills that change behavioral or relational patterns that are affecting your daily life. Simran Lamba

Simran Lamba is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who earned a Master of Arts in General Psychology at Adelphi University and an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Long Island University. Simran entered the field of mental health in 2015 when she became a case manager for adults in a nonprofit organization.

In the past, Simran has experience working with ADHD and Autistic children along with Neuro-diagnostics related to QEEG and Neurofeedback. Most recently, she has worked as an individual, child, adolescent, adult, family and couples therapist in a hospital affiliate outpatient clinic and private practice. Some of her therapeutic modalities utilized are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Person-Centered, Rational Emotive Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Psychoanalysis.

Life can become difficult to manage sometimes or often. Whether it is struggling with addiction, mental health diagnoses, relationship conflicts, a difficult hurdle, or stress; there are healthy ways to overcome an enjoy your life. As a licensed mental health counselor my goal is to use my clinical skills and prior experience to tailor treatment for each client specifically. 

I have a wide range of experience in which I have worked with in a variety of settings; substance abuse clinic, psychiatric hospital, private practice, day program, and community services. With that being said, I have also worked with many different populations; children and adults, adults struggling with addiction, children with psychiatric diagnoses, and adults with psychiatric diagnoses.

I am familiar and often use methods of psychoanalysis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing during sessions but am familiar and have experience with additional modalities as well. I am a strong believer that empathy, honesty, and teamwork are what create a professional and effective relationship between therapist and client. Together, we can devise a treatment plan that will help you get through what you may be experiencing and return to enjoying life.

Jessica has worked as a therapist in various capacities around Long Island with experience in Health Home Care Management programs,  Assertive Community Treatment Teams, and serving as a Clinical Supervisor and Administrator for non profit organizations. Jessica has experience working with the chronically and severely mentally ill population, often with co-occurring substance abuse disorders. Additionally, Jessica has a strong knowledge base of facilitating therapeutic groups, and providing both individual counseling and family counseling to clients of all cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. One of her areas of specialization is working with clients' diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety and Depression. Her theoretical approaches are based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. She uses these approaches to help clients re-frame maladaptive thought processes, while also constructing a concrete vision of a preferred future.

With a goal to help people, I went back to college in 2009 to get a degree in human services and followed it up with more specific certifications and credentials. I spent the next 4 years as case manager in my dream job at Seafield where on a daily basis the mission is to help others.
